What are the Different Types of Dimmers?

Dimmers

Dimmers are an important factor in lighting your home; they make it easy to modify the level of light within your rooms, allowing you to set the perfect mood. Dimmers also save energy and prolong the longevity of your bulbs.
Types of dimmers:

Single-Pole Dimmer – Control lights from a single location in your home

3-Way and 4-Way Dimmers – Provide multiple control locations in your home, connected by an additional conductor known as a “traveler.” There are also Multi-location dimmers offered for more than four control locations.

Plug-In Dimmers – Designed to dim bulbs in table or floor lamps

Dimmers, in all these varieties, come in an array of colors, styles and control options so you can choose the perfect dimmer to go with your current décor and blend into its surroundings.

Some features included in dimmer are timers, night light options, sensors to automatically turn on lights when entering a room and presets that allow you to set the light at your favorite level and have it automatically return to that brightness.

Dimmers give you the option to set the ambiance within your space, controlling the intensity of light. Within most rooms in your home, it is typically recommended you use dimmers as often as possible. They are convenient, enhance the beauty of your space, extend the life of your bulbs and use electricity, which saves you money in the long run.
